Scott Tischler Helps Kroo Bay

On his travels to Africa, Scott Tischler has seen some of the desolate conditions that people are living in. Although he does what he can to help them, he feels that it is never truly enough. In an effort to spread awareness, Tischler is planning on creating a charity for the people of Kroo Bay - an extremely poor region of Sierra Leone where the people are living amongst trash and rubble. Many of the inhabitants of Kroo Bay are ill and their shelters are thrown together shanties.

Seeing the difference between life in America and life in Africa has had a huge effect of Tischler. He says, “... every time I get home I’m so aware of how lucky we are. I am very careful not to waste food, water, or electricity.” He is in the beginning processes of starting a charity that he hopes to have in full swing by the end of the year. The charity will help the people of Kroo Bay to build safer shelters while providing them with healthier food and clean water.
